Event photography during the Courage Classic for Children's Hospital Colorado

Each year I act as a Denver event photographer for Children’s Hospital Colorado to help support their Courage Classic Event. Its an honor and a pleasure to share in the weekend with such courageous and supportive families and members of the community.

What is the Courage Classic?

For those of you that aren’t familiar with the event, the Courage Classic is a bicycle tour event that happens every year. Teams and individuals raise money and ride through the mountains surrounding Copper Mountain. It’s the single largest gathering of people coming together to raise money for Children’s Colorado. This year they were able to raise over 3.5 million dollars to support the hospital.

Being a Denver Event Photographer for such a special event is important

I love being a Denver event photographer for events like this. It combines, my love for the mountains, sports, and helping support entities in the community that are doing critical and important work. A lot of the people riding to raise money are doing so for loved ones that are going through difficult and life threatening illnesses. Or they’re people who ride in memory of loved ones, hoping that the hospital can find new ways to fight the diseases that took their lives.

This is an event that inspires and lifts people up

This event is like no other. The love and support from all the people here is so uplifting and inspiring. As a Denver event photographer, its so cool to capture the emotion and excitement that fills the atmosphere at this event. My favorite moment is when riders cross the finish line on Sunday afternoon. Usually there’s a big crowd cheering people on. Riders both young and old cross the finish line with a sense of accomplishment and a big smile on their face.

Thanks for inviting me to come be part of this event each year. Its always a whirlwind with large teams and running around Copper Village. But its totally worth it! It warms my heart to be able to help raise money and capture all that happens during the weekend. I look forward to seeing you all again next year!
