Couples Photos in Breckenridge with Kathleen and John at Sapphire Point
I met up with Kathleen and John for couples photos in Breckenridge to help celebrate their honeymoon. They traveled to Colorado from Texas for part of their honeymoon and wanted to capture some couples photos while they were in the mountains. We looked at a few different options for locations and ultimately decided on Sapphire Point. Sapphire Point is a trail just outside of Breckenridge that looks out over Lake Dillon. Their portrait session was in October and there had been some recent snow in the area, but the trail was covered lightly so it was still easy to walk around.
Wearing Different Layers for Couples Photos in Breckenridge
Breckenridge can get cold especially during the fall. Sapphire Point luckily is a short trail and a close walk back to the car and a heater, but its always a good idea to come prepared. I suggest to my couples to bring some different layers with them. That could be an extra jacket or a second pair of shoes. The most important thing is to be comfortable when taking photos, and having some extra layers can help with that. As we walk around and take photos its easy to set some things aside and then put them back and on and warm up in between taking pictures.
Portraits at Sapphire Point
Sapphire Point is a great spot for portraits. Its also a very popular area. A lot of people come to this spot to check out the views of the surrounding mountains and Lake Dillon. Kathleen and John were super cute as we walked around the area and took portraits. I loved John’s iconic black cowboy hat. We stopped at the lookout area which is usually pretty crowded and then moved on along the trail to take some more photos in some areas that were a bit quieter. Kathleen had only been to Colorado once before. Her husband John loves the area so this area was a wonderful spot for their portraits.
