Mountain Wedding in Glenhaven with Jana and Mike
This intimate mountain wedding was at Jana and Mike’s cabin in Glenhaven with some of their closest friends and family. The cabin was a beautiful mountain setting for the wedding. Jana and Mike did the ceremony on their deck. That spot overlooks a stream that runs through their property, which they love. So, it was a perfect spot to bring everyone together.
Mountain Wedding – First Look & Family
We started our photography with a first look. Jana was so cute when I got there. She was excited and nervous, ready to start. They both had a daughter and son who were part of the wedding party. Their kids also joined in to be part of the first look as well. Both Mike and Jana had previous marriages and families, and now they were recombining their families in a different way.
What stands out the most
The thing that stands out to me the most about this wedding is Jana’s vows. She didn’t just write her vows to Mike, but to her kids and his kids as well. It was very touching to hear how she vowed to be a good mom, and to love and support all of them. As Jana spoke, it was obvious that this wasn’t about just Jana and Mike, but their new family as a whole. It was also super cute what happened afterwards. After she read her vows to the kids, she then forgot for a moment to read her vows to Mike. Everyone had a good laugh and I’m sure that’s a moment that they won’t forget.
Portraits for this Mountain Wedding
They chose to do their wedding at their cabin in Glenhaven because it brings them a sense of joy and relaxation. I can totally see why. Its a beautiful Colorado location near Estes Park, tucked in a canyon. Aspen and pine trees cover the property and the sound of the stream flowing by was so soothing. It was a fun place to do portraits in this mountain location.
Thanks Jana & Mike
Jana and Mike, thanks for inviting me to be part of this special day for you two! It was such a pleasure to join in with your close family and friends and capture the interactions between you all. I also love the lyrics to one of your favorite songs, ” What if I was made for you and you were made for me. What if this is it, what if it’s meant to be”. You two are super cute and I wish you and your families so much love and happiness as you go on this new journey together. Congratulations!!
