Kelly and Nashion celebrated their Chief Hosa Lodge wedding with an intimate group of about 40 guests in Evergreen, Colorado. Surrounded by trees, mountain views, and the quiet charm of this historic lodge, their day was simple, heartfelt, and full of meaningful moments—including a surprise no one saw coming.
They chose to skip a traditional bridal party and officiant, focusing instead on what mattered most: their vows, their family, and creating a wedding day that felt true to them.

A Small, Meaningful Wedding at Chief Hosa Lodge
Kelly and Nashion wanted a wedding that felt intentional and relaxed. With a smaller guest count, they were able to create a ceremony that was deeply personal, including their four-year-old daughter, Maya, as an important part of the day.
Nashion isn’t a big talker, which made the vows even more special. Kelly was especially excited to hear the words he wanted to share. The ceremony was filled with heartfelt moments and laughter. Maya also stole the show as she walked down the aisle as their flower girl/ring bearer and then handed her dad the rings.
Because the group was small, we took advantage of the moment and captured a large group photo immediately after the ceremony as everyone walked back down the aisle together—a fun, candid way to document everyone who shared in the day.

A Surprise Announcement and Fall Mountain Setting
The ceremony took place on the Chief Hosa Lodge patio, with trees and mountain scenery creating a beautiful natural backdrop. Guests then moved inside the historic lodge for the reception, where the celebration continued in a warm, cozy setting.
Kelly and Nashion were also keeping a very special secret while planning their Evergreen, Colorado wedding—Kelly was pregnant. During the reception, they surprised their guests (and their daughter) with a baby announcement, creating one of the most joyful and emotional moments of the day. Capturing the reactions as everyone realized what was being announced was such a highlight.
They were lucky to have beautiful fall weather, and the entire day flowed smoothly from start to finish. For photography coverage, I captured the final touches of getting ready at the lodge, the ceremony, and part of the reception—including their first dance and candid moments with family and friends.
