Lake Dillon Wedding with Riley and Tanner at the Marina Park Pavilion
Riley and Tanner traveled from Oklahoma for their Lake Dillon Wedding. They wanted to celebrate in a place that showed their love for the mountains. The area around Lake Dillon was a perfect fit for what they were envisioning. At first they were thinking about doing the wedding at Sapphire Point. But the pandemic threw a wrench in their plans and that area became closed to reservations. As we searched together for more location options, we found that the Marina Park Pavilion remained open. Riley and Tanner were able to catch one of the remaining reservation slots there in the morning for the ceremony which worked out wonderfully.
Weddings on the shores of Lake Dillon
The area at the Marina Park Pavilion is a great location if you’re looking for mountain views in all directions. Riley and Tanner set their ceremony up just in front of the pavilion area which sits on a hill overlooking the lake. The space allows for a good size ceremony and also has a covered area just in case of weather. They used the covered pavilion later on to do some toasts and have their first dance. The area also has an amphitheater nearby which hosts yoga classes during the summer. The morning of their wedding they had an audience of a nearby yoga class which later gave them a round of applause, it was so cute!
Making a Vacation out of the Wedding
Because the wedding was a destination location for Riley, Tanner, and their guests they decided to make a vacation out of the time. They rented a couple air bnbs around Lake Dillon where they stayed for a few days to continue their celebration. They also were able to use the space to get ready without seeing each other. Riley had spent a lot of time in Colorado growing up, but the area around Breckenridge and Lake Dillon she had yet to explore. So they were excited to spend time in a new place and enjoy the mountains after their wedding.
Thanks Riley and Tanner!
Riley and Tanner, thank you for entrusting me to help with your wedding. I’m so glad we were able to find a spot at the Marina for the ceremony. It was so much fun to meet you all and capture your day with photography. I hope you had a wonderful trip and are doing well. Much love to you two and congratulations again!
