Sapphire Point Engagement Photography Session with Courtney & Austin
I met up with Courtney and Austin for this Sapphire Point Engagement portrait session. They were visiting from Texas and scoping out wedding venues around the mountains. During their visit we set aside some time to do a photo shoot to capture the excitement of their engagement.
Colorado weather can be unpredictable for outdoor engagement photos
The weather didn’t look great as I left Denver. That is to say, it was pouring rain. But after driving through the Eisenhower tunnel and coming out closer to Breckenridge, the sun was shining. Blue skies with fluffy clouds filled the sky. I’m glad we were able to take advantage of some sunshine this day.
Portraits at Sapphire Point
Courtney and Austin had a full schedule throughout the weekend checking out potential wedding venues. But it was great that we had some time to connect and meet up in Breckenridge for engagement photos. Sapphire Point is a great place for a portrait session. The trail looks out over Dillon Reservoir and the mountains surrounding Breckenridge. Not only are there beautiful views but there is also a lovely forest with a trail that’s easy to access and walk along.
Courtney & Austin met through their bosses at work
Courtney and Austin shared with me a little bit about how they met as we took engagement photos along the Sapphire Point trail. Their bosses were playing match maker and wanted them to meet each other. So one day at a work party they connected and hit it off.
They love to be in nature and celebrating their wedding in Colorado seemed fitting
They love to walk with their dog Aspen in the open space around their home, so taking a short hike during our photo shoot was something they felt completely comfortable with. Courtney & Austin were happy to be outdoors enjoying nature. That being said, they picked a fitting spot for their wedding, in the mountains of Colorado.
Thanks Courtney & Austin!
Courtney & Austin, thanks for sharing a little bit of your lives with me and inviting me to capture this exciting time. You two are super cute together. Have fun with the rest of the wedding planning!
