Outdoor weddings Boulder Colorado with Hannah and Matt at Wedgewood Boulder Creek

This was a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony in Boulder CO during the fall with Hannah and Matt. Snow patches scattered the Wedgewood in Boulder Creek property with little green grass showing around the ceremony site. Their ceremony arch was decorated with a drape of blush pink fabric and a bouquet of greenery with pink and cream colored flowers in the center.

Getting Ready before this Outdoor Wedding in Boulder CO

I started the day by meeting up with them at a hotel nearby in Broomfield to photograph some images of them getting ready. Its so funny to see the different dynamics between the girls getting ready and the guys getting ready. The girls were very lively, doing hair and makeup. Their room was adorned with colorful paper decorations and bouquets of flowers that the ladies had made themselves. On the other hand, the guys were just hanging out playing video games, a much quieter group just relaxing before they headed over to the venue to put on their suits.

Afterwards we headed over to the venue to finish up the last touches of getting ready. We then took advantage of the beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony grounds around this Boulder CO property along the creek to do some portraits. Hannah and all the girls went out first. And then I took Matt out for a brief moment and we captured some images of him with mountain views in the background.

No First look for this Boulder wedding

They didn’t want to see each other before the wedding but they wanted to do a photo of them with their eyes closed holding hands in a doorway or something similar. So we looked around and found a place to photograph this image next to a stone column in the reception area. Matt went out first. With his eyes closed he waited for Hannah. Then Hannah came out with her eyes closed too. They were so adorable! Hannah and Matt held hands and spoke to each other softly as they kept their eyes closed. You could feel the emotion between them, excitement, nervousness, and anticipation. It was very cool to be part of that moment.

Hannah & Matt, you two were so sweet and welcoming! Thank you for entrusting me to photograph this day for you. It was a pleasure to capture the whole day: the girls getting ready and your gift to Hannah with the pink pearls, Matt’s face as he saw you walk down the aisle, your wonderful crew of a wedding party, romantic images of the two of you, toasts and first dances, and some of older family members rocking it on the dance floor. I wish you two much happiness and new adventures as you continue on into this new chapter in your lives!
