It was such a pleasure to capture Deanna & Jason’s wedding in Morrison at the Willow Ridge Manor. Soon after dinner, “When the Saints Go Marching In” starting playing from the speakers on the dance floor. I don’t know who started it but before I knew it there was a conga line of about 10 people that kept growing by the second. Everyone was marching through the reception hall waving their linen napkin like a flag high above their heads. Deanna the bride, among them smiled at her friends and family as they all serpentined through the tables in the reception hall dancing all in their own way in one big fun cohesive group. Its so fun to see everyone’s personality shine through on their wedding day. This was the first spontaneous conga line I’ve ever been witness to and it was very entertaining and fun to photograph.
My day started off meeting up with Deanna, her sister and her mom at a hair salon just outside of Denver. The ladies were all wearing embroidered casual button up shirts which was part of a tradition. The white shirts had dates and initials embroidered in blue, showing off Deanna’s wedding date and her sister’s wedding date as well as the words “I Do”. I enjoyed capturing the final touches with the ladies before heading over to the Willow Ridge Manor.
The ceremony was outside next to an amazing landscape of stunning red rocks. Deanna and Jason said their vows as the sun dropped low in the sky on a beautiful sunny fall day. They met online and then had their fist date over beer and wings. Jason told me he thought she was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen that night. They continued to date, sharing a love for sports and going out to games in Denver and then one day Jason popped the question!
Deanna and Jason, I hope you two by now are comfortably settled into your new home in Parker. Thanks so much for entrusting me to spend this special day with you and capture all that it entailed. You two were so welcoming and loving. I wish you so much happiness and fun adventures as you go into this new chapter of your lives together as husband and wife!
