Couples Photography in Boulder CO with Amber and Anthony at Lost Gulch Overlook
Amber and Anthony wanted to capture couples photography in Boulder CO for their anniversary while they were on vacation. They really liked the mountain views that Colorado had to offer and wanted that to be a big element of their photos. So we choose Lost Gulch Overlook in Boulder as our spot for our couples photography. Lost Gulch Overlook sits just above Boulder on Flagstaff mountain and has a section of rock outcroppings that you can walk out onto. The view out to the west is stunning with large and small mountains rolling off into the distance.
Windy day in Boulder
The wind was in full force during our session, which made things both challenging and helpful. It was challenging for photos with Amber’s hair blowing around in all directions. But we found shelter in some areas and used some techniques to hold Amber’s hair in place. It was also good in some respects because the area was really quiet. Lost Gulch Overlook can get really crowded especially in the afternoon with people out of the rocks taking in the sunset and the view. So we really had the place to ourselves which was nice.
Couples Photography in Boulder CO Without the Kids
Amber and Anthony have two small children and were excited to go on vacation while they left their kids at home. With small children, its hard to get away and have some time alone. They wanted to be able to have a quiet romantic couples photography session in Boulder with just the two of them. And I’m so glad we were able to do so! We walked around the rocks and along a trail through the pine trees. They were super cute and a lot of fun.
Thanks Amber and Anthony
Amber and Anthony, thank you for including me in your trip and inviting me to capture photos of the two of you to help celebrate your anniversary. You two braved the wind well and were good sports as we did our couples photography session through the changing elements. I hope you had a wonderful trip in Colorado and are doing well. Much love to you two!
