Butterfly Pavilion Wedding with Linda & Dave in Westminster
Linda and Dave decided to do an intimate Butterfly Pavilion wedding to celebrate their marriage this past fall. They choose to celebrate the day with just the two of them inside the Butterfly Pavilion greenhouse. Having their children there would have been ideal, but the pandemic complicated things. They decided to play it safe and do a very small gathering with themselves, their officiant and me as their photographer.
Capturing Portraits around the Butterfly Pavilion Gardens
Not only does the Butterfly Pavilion have a lovely indoor space, the gardens around the facility are also beautiful. We decided to do portraits outside before the ceremony. Right behind the Butterfly Pavilion there is a garden space with a small water feature and trails that wander through a mix of large trees and various plants and flowers. There is also a trail that borders the Big Dry Creek in Westminster. We started along the path at the Big Dry Creek and then walked up to the garden area for portraits.
About Linda and Dave
Linda and Dave met at a surprise party and hit it off right away. They both love Star Wars and coming to the Butterfly Pavilion, which showed in the some of the details they chose in their attire. Dave had Millennium Falcon cufflinks which were awesome. Linda does some sewing and added some butterfly touches to her dress. She sewed in a lace border along the sleeves made of butterflies. They were both very down to earth sweet individuals. They also incorporated butterflies in both the bouquet and boutonniere.
Butterfly Pavilion Wedding in the Greenhouse Conservatory
The conservatory at the Butterfly Pavilion is a large greenhouse with tropical plants and butterflies all around. This was the location for their Butterfly Pavilion wedding ceremony. They choose a spot on a small bridge for their vows surrounded by beautiful plants. They did the ceremony inside with their masks on and just took them off for a quick moment for their first kiss. Towards the end of the ceremony they released some newly born butterflies into the conservatory. One latched onto Linda’s dress before moving on into the space. It was a beautiful spot for their wedding.
