Breckenridge Engagement Photos at Sapphire Point and Lake Dillon with Allison & Ian

I met Allison & Ian for Breckenridge engagement photos at Sapphire Point. They live in Denver but wanted the mountains as part of the atmosphere for their engagement photos. We decided to do some photos around Sapphire Point and then drive afterwards to a spot along the shores of Lake Dillon.

We Adjusted our Photoshoot Date Due to the Weather

There are a lot of beautiful places to take Breckenridge engagement photos. Sapphire point is a great choice that we initially planned to meet at during the end of October. But last year we got an early snow storm that was pretty big. On the day we planned to meet Breckenridge predicted to have multiple feet of snowfall. Allison and I chatted and decided that it would be best to push things back a little. Driving in snow storms can be dangerous and we both decided to play it safe and save the engagement photos for another day.

Winter Breckenridge Engagement Photos Around Lake Dillon

We ended up meeting for these engagement photos in the beginning of November. It was surprisingly a beautiful sunny day. Most of the snow from the previous storm had melted. Allison and Ian brought some different layers to stay warm. I think the coldest part was when we went down by the shores of Lake Dillon. The wind cut through the valley bringing us a winter chill as the sun started to set. Allison and Ian danced on the lake shores and were good sports braving the wind and cold weather.
