Engagement photos at Brainard Lake, Colorado with Lauren and Ben

It was so windy during this engagement photography session with Lauren & Ben. Brainard Lake and Long Lake are really close together and when its not snowy you can drive to the trail head for both easily. We decided to start at Long Lake because it was a little more sheltered. But even then, it was a little intense. They were good sports. We spent some time in windy locations and also found some more sheltered areas. They even did a little rock hopping to get out into the middle of the creek for a photo. No one fell in :).

Upcoming wedding at the Sunrise Amphitheater

We talked about their upcoming wedding and how things were going with the planning. Lauren & Ben are having their ceremony at the Sunrise Amphitheater in Boulder and then doing a brunch reception at the Flagstaff House afterwards. They are also planning to go to a bowling alley after the reception with a group of friends. This seemed like the thing that they are most excited for, besides being married. It sounds relaxing and fun!

Engagement Photography during the fall

This engagement photography session was done in October, so we got a little bit of color happening. I love photos during the fall when the leaves are changing. There aren’t a ton of aspens right around Brianard Lake, but the shrubs that were nearby were also turning shades of yellow and orange. It was a beautiful drive too, coming up the Peak to Peak highway. Lauren and Ben mentioned that this engagement session gave them a good excuse to check out more of the fall colors.
