Estes Park wedding with Milena & Rob

Intimate Wedding at the Black Canyon Inn, Estes Park

This Estes Park wedding was fun, intimate and casual.  As I arrived, Milena and Rob were getting ready in their 1 bedroom condo that the Black Canyon Inn provided right next to the ceremony site.  Milena sat in a sunny window with her hair and makeup artist.  They finished up while her mom Cassaundra put the last touches on some floral arrangements.  Cassaundra made the bouquet and boutonniere for Milena and Rob.  Pine greenery, white roses, pine cones and touches of blue made up the wedding bouquet.  It was very fitting for this mountain spring wedding.

Estes Park Wedding Ceremony Site

They did the ceremony in the wedding pavilion at The Black Canyon Inn.  This Estes Park wedding site is an outdoor space with beautiful mountain views.  The rows of chairs are framed with stone columns and wood beams overhead.

The wedding was an intimate group of about 30 of their close friends and family.  They set things up as a together with everyone pitching in.  Rob put bubbles on the guest’s chairs.  Milena’s best friend set a wooden board with photos of Milena & Rob at the start of the aisle.  The ladies arranged some flowers at the front area where Milena & Rob would stand and say their vows.  It was a beautiful spring day, sunny and cool.

Fun things that stick out in my mind from their wedding day

Milena and Rob were a very laid back couple who were excited to celebrate with their close friends and family.  A friend of Rob’s officiated the wedding.  Rob has been friends with their officiant since they were 5 years old.  That’s so cool!  Milena wanted to be comfortable and warm for her spring Estes Park wedding.  So she planned accordingly for snow or sun.  Her shoes were adorable brown leather cowboy boots.  And to help stay warm, she choose an elegant white bridal cloak to wear over her dress.

The reception was at a nearby brewery in Estes Park, the Barrel.  During the reception, Milena’s best friend brought out an old letter that Milena had sent to her.  The letter was sent when Milena was 17 and her friend had saved it.  She spoke about their friendship.  Parts of the letter had romantic advice which she read out loud.  That advice still rung true today.  She wished them similar advice as they all toasted.

Thanks Milena & Rob!
