3M Curve Proposal Story with Noah & Lea

In Rocky Mountain National Park

This 3M Curve proposal happened during a spring trip that Noah and Lea took to Colorado. They had flown in from the East Coast, and he wanted to ask her to marry him surrounded by the mountain scenery in Rocky Mountain National Park. She loves nature and Noah thought that it would be a fitting way to pop the question. Even though spring weather in Colorado can be unpredictable, the day ended up being calm, sunny, and absolutely perfect for a proposal.

Noah shared that surprising Lea and having photos of the moment were the two things most important to him. After talking through a few different options around Rocky Mountain National Park, he chose 3M Curve for its mountain views and easy access. It fit everything he was hoping for: beautiful scenery, lots of privacy, and only a short walk so Lea could dress in a way that wasn’t hiking attire.

To help keep everything a surprise, Noah planned a dinner afterward and told Lea they’d stop by a beautiful viewpoint beforehand. The walk to 3M Curve is short and flat, only about five minutes. Which makes it ideal for a proposal that feels scenic without requiring a long hike.

Spring weather can be a bit unpredictable in Colorado, so we stayed in close contact leading up to the day and had a couple backup dates in mind. Luckily, we didn’t need them. When they reached the overlook, they paused for a moment to take in the view. Noah gave Lea a long hug my, which was my signal to get into position. Then he dropped to one knee. The look of joy on her face was such a fun thing to capture with photos.

Noah had one more surprise planned: two of their close friends had flown in for the weekend to join the celebration. He didn’t reveal that surprise until after we were done taking photos. It made the whole day even more special.

3M Curve checked all Noah’s boxes of having beautiful scenery that was easy to get to in a private setting

3M curve is used for wedding ceremonies, so be sure to ask the rangers to check the event reservations calendar

After the initial excitement, we stayed for an engagement portrait sesssion. We captured a mix of candid moments, classic portraits, and scenic wide shots that show off the beauty of this part of Rocky Mountain National Park. It’s one of my favorite spots for proposal and engagement photography in the park.

Noah & Lea, thank you so much for trusting me to capture such a meaningful moment in the mountains. I loved the intention behind your planning, the emotion of the proposal, and the joy you shared afterward. I’m so happy your friends were able to join in the celebration too. Thanks again and much love to you both!
